Broke to Built exists to show that AI — used carefully, with a human hand on it — can genuinely help with all of it. We write one careful, specific answer to one real question, put it near the top in plain language, and hand you a finished template you can use immediately. No email wall. No "unlock the full version." Just the help, free.

Who's behind it

We're a small, independent operation, founded and run by Anthony Snider — a builder who got tired of thin, padded content and started making the guides and tools he wished existed. If you want him on your problem, his hire page covers builds, advisory and retainers.

We focus on subjects where people are often stressed or simply out of their depth, because that's exactly where clear, honest help matters most. Everything we publish is reviewed by a person before it goes live; we explain that process in full on our editorial standards page.

Anthony's own account of how long he has been at it: I've been working with AI models and agents since GPT-2. We can't hand you a receipt for that, so we mark it as his claim rather than as a fact of ours — every number elsewhere on this site is counted from the repo at build time instead of typed.

What he does is direct the work rather than type it. He decides what gets built and shipped; a team of AI agents does the building, under gates he wrote and against checks that run on every deploy. Every tool here was specified, reviewed and released by him that way — the deterministic engines behind them, the checks the guides pass through, and the publishing system that runs the whole thing on free infrastructure. What we stand for

How we keep the lights on

The fleet runs on free tiers and open endpoints — free model APIs, free repositories, public chain RPCs, narration generated on the machine rather than through a service, and public-domain source material. That is a design constraint, not a phase we are waiting to grow out of: if a machine can earn its keep on free infrastructure, the floor for anyone else doing the same is also free. A few of these systems have been paid by strangers while nobody was watching; the amounts are small and the number of humans in the loop was zero, which was always the interesting part.

The site carries no advertising at all — no ad network, no ad tags, nothing that follows you. It is never funded by charging you or gating the guides. Where a link earns us anything it is a referral to a tool we genuinely use and it is marked as one, and any optional template is capped at $0.99 by a rule enforced in the build rather than promised in a paragraph.
